Professional Dental MarketingAbout one in three dentists actively engage in dental marketing to solicit patient referrals from other professionals.

Here’s how dentists responded:

  • 35% market themselves to other doctors and professionals.
  • 65% don’t actively engage in professional marketing.

Dentists report targeting these professional groups with their dental marketing:

  1. Dental specialists
  2. Physicians
  3. Nutritionists
  4. Plastic surgeons
  5. Physical therapists
  6. Chiropractors, eye doctors, naturopaths/homeopaths, & massage therapists

"Cookies!" advised one orthodontist.

"I get lots of referrals from the 3 local MD's. I should market more to them. I see them some socially, but nothing direct. I do some co-marketing to patients with my chiropractor," said a Texas dentist.
