Survey: Marketing to Other Professionals 

About one third of dentists actively market themselves to other professionals fro referrals, this survey found. “I get lots of referrals from the local MDs,” said one dentist. “I should market more to them. NY Attorney General Investigates CareCredit 

Andrew Cuomo, New York’s Attorney General, is investigating health care cards (primarily GE’s CareCredit) for allegations of predatory lending practices.  His office has received complaints from hundreds of patients who were convinced to sign up for a credit card, only to find themselves beset by high interest rates and surcharges. Survey Video: General Dentists Placing Implants 

In this survey, about half (53%) of general dentists said they place implants themselves.  “Every general dentist who can extract a tooth can do most implants,” said an Oregon dentist. “I feel that surgeons really do not want you to know how easy it is to do.
